Timeline of events:

2013: The idea of a haunted yard was created.  John and Corrine moved to Flower Mound, TX, and wanted to get into the Halloween spirit.  Using her skills in cosmetology, Corrine created two characters: the demon and the vampire. She also used old mannequin heads to practice special effects makeup.  Although simple, they had the scariest yard on the block!

2014: John and Corrine's scary house quickly became talk of the neighborhood. This year, they decided they would really give everyone something they'd remember.  They enlisted the help of friends to help create many of the cemetery props still used today!  Beginning in September, the small group began working on life-size and life-like headstones, as well as a huge mausoleum.  This is what became known as Ping Cemetery, named after the street on which they lived.  This year's characters included The Skeleton and The Spirit.

2016: This year, HB Haunts got their name! John and Corrine moved to Argyle, TX, and decided to bring back all their scary props, except they wanted to really horrify their new neighborhood.  Corrine amped up the special effects makeup and added a new character: the butcher.  The Skeleton made another appearance, while The Spirit morphed into a character based off The Enchantress from the new Suicide Squad movie.  This year's haunt was coined The Butcher of Greenmeadow Drive, complete with signs that help drive people to come see the new haunt.

2017: Another move!  Luckily, this move was within the same neighborhood, just closer towards the main entrance!  John and Corrine decided to turn up the scare even more!  This was the first major change to the theme, which would require all new props, characters, more sound effects and lighting!  This was going to be a front yard that no one has ever seen!  The theme: CarnEVIL!  It was a HUGE hit!  They even won Yard of the Month for the town of Argyle!  There were many new characters this year and HB Haunts gave away over to 50 pound of candy!

2018:  How could HB Haunts top last year?  With a garage walk-through!  They decided to keep the CarnEVIL theme, bring back some of the old cemetery props, but add a huge laser tunnel that led into a horrifying haunted walk-through in the garage.  The anticipation was immense!  The characters all got upgrade with movie-quality prosthesis, costumes, and wigs.  There was even a new special effect that was going to blow everyone's minds!  Unfortunately, rain caused for some major delays and many effects couldn't be used.  HB Haunts did decide to open for another night, which many people did attend.  It was not the record breaking attendance they were hoping for, but they did gain new fans!  Corrine's personal favorites were three little girls that went through the haunt at least a dozen times, each time was just as scary as the last!

Stay tuned for 2019!
